| "Vote to News" ...for the general forum. Since I don't get a chance to read tt.net every day and the forum layout favors temporal threads (v. other layouts that favor topical threads which get bumped to the top when a new post is made) I think it'd be nice to be able to vote to highlight posts to a "newsreel" that you can look over when time permits to see the landmark threads of the last month or so. "Hey dude, my post about Tunces the Z Driving Cat made the news, awesome." Well, maybe not that easy... I would imagine that there are on the order of 5 posts per week that are truly good reads but are like jewels in the rough so to speak. Sadly, I have missed many of these posts due to the infrequency of site visits. So many good stories or interesting work (though not typical tech forum stuff) is posted here, its amazing. The groundwork for this is already in place (to the best of my understanding) as the VTF voting system does exactly this for the technical forum. I have some programming skillz too but not in DB/asp. So, what say you?
